IN100SE Black
Description
Stereo amplifier, power 100 W per channel (8 Ohms), 140 W per channel (4 Ohms). Frequency range 5 Hz - 100 kHz, sensitivity 100 mV, input impedance 47 kOhm.
The Atoll IN100SE is an entry-level high-end component and is second only to the flagship Atoll Electronique complete amplifier in terms of performance. The device received a recommendation from the authoritative Stereophile magazine.
The design of the amplifier is quite original. The half-centimeter thick aluminum façade houses the large knob of the motorized volume control, implemented on an ALPS potentiometer. To the right of it there is a mini-jack for headphones, a power button with an indicator and two vertically located keys that allow you to select one of the required inputs. Switching is ensured by a relay, and this is signaled by six green LEDs located in a semicircle.
Atoll IN100SE differs from its younger brothers in increased power - 100 W per channel (at 8 Ohms). The channels are powered by two massive toroidal transformers with a power of 330 W each, located on the left side of the case. The total capacitance of the power supply capacitors is 30,000 µF. The circuits use polypropylene capacitors MKP. The preamp circuits include bipolar transistors, and the output stage is equipped with high-current MOSFETs.
There is a standard set of inputs: four line RCA, an input for monitoring recorded material, as well as RCA connectors labeled BY-PASS, which provide direct access to the final section of the amplifier. The outputs are represented by connectors for recording and two PRE-OUTs. There are only two pairs of screw terminals for connecting acoustics.
An optional phono stage board can be installed. The company's catalog contains the following models of correctors for internal mounting - P50 (for MM heads) or P100 (for MM/MC heads).
Thanks to a powerful power supply, thoughtful circuit design and high-quality element base, Atoll IN100SE provides excellent midrange resolution, expressive and detailed high frequencies, as well as fast, articulate bass. The sound images built in space impress with their realism. The model is quite dynamic, well balanced and able to amaze with the naturalness of its timbres.
