This is still an affordable active speaker — but not a basic one. Larger dimensions, 5¼-inch midbass, heavier weight, and sound that covers the needs of music, movies, and computer work. And at the same time — no external amplifiers, everything is already inside.
Bluetooth with aptX for streaming, optics for TV, RCA for audio, Phono input for the player (built-in phono equalizer!), plus a subwoofer output — connection without problems, with anything. And all this works without unnecessary settings — automatic input switching, remote control included.
The sound is denser, more massive than the younger model FENRIS 4. The bass is really present, not decorative. The vocals are clear, do not protrude forward. The highs are open, but not harsh. They are not audiophile — and do not try to be so. They just play well and pleasantly.
The case is the same Scandinavian style: strict, concise. They look expensive, although they cost moderately. Ideal for a room, studio, or just for those who don't want to bother with components.
