Product information
The Arcam HDA SA10 complete amplifier from the company's new High Definition Audio (HDA) series occupies a junior position in relation to the flagship SA20. The model replaced the previously released integrated device FMJ A19, which received many awards from specialized publications.
The device operates in class AB and boasts a very low level of distortion. It uses a well-designed linear power supply that allows it to deliver 50 W per channel into an 8-ohm load, and the Arcam HDA SA10 circuits are equipped with high-quality components.
The model can act as an external DAC. For digital-to-analog conversion, the stereo amplifier uses the well-known ESS9016K2M chip converter. This also ensures low jitter. The Arcam HDA SA10 can also be connected to a turntable equipped with a moving magnet cartridge. For this purpose, there is a corresponding MM phono preamplifier on board.
The new appearance of Arcam HDA SA10 gravitates toward industrial design, but retains Arkamov’s signature features. The body of the model perfectly resists vibrations and looks quite modern. Its sleek front panel has a mini-jack output for headphones and a 3.5 mm Aux input, to which portable devices are connected.
The amplifier is equipped with a standard learning remote control with backlit buttons. Alternatively, control is available via the RS-232 interface or by IP address when connected to a local network via a LAN port. To control the model, it is convenient to use the proprietary Musiclife application, designed for devices with the iOS operating system.
As for switching, the digital section is represented by a pair of coaxial and one optical inputs. There are three analog RCA line inputs and an MM phono input, which can be switched to line mode. There is a Pre Out that allows you to connect a power amplifier. To power USB devices and update firmware, you can use the corresponding USB port located on the rear panel of the case. Four screw terminals are provided for connecting speaker systems.
