The ADAM Audio T8V is a studio active near-field monitor that is the flagship model in the budget T-series, which offers several speaker systems for professional audio work. This version includes technical equipment comparable to more expensive ADAM Audio monitors, high build quality, and the use of the highest quality and most interesting components.
The audio signal is reproduced by an 8-inch polypropylene woofer and a 1.9-inch U-Art ribbon tweeter with HPS waveguide, which provides a rich and detailed high-frequency range, and also allows you to achieve high sound pressure levels of up to 118 dB with minimal distortion. The bi-amp amplifier operates in class D and provides 70 W to the woofer and 20 W to the tweeter. The crossover frequency is located at 2.6 kHz, and the overall operating frequency range covers the spectrum of 33 Hz – 25 kHz.
A 2-band equalizer for low and high frequencies, represented by switches with positions of -2, 0 and +2 dB, will help optimize the sound in various rooms. To connect an audio source, there are balanced and unbalanced inputs on XLR and RCA connectors, respectively. There is a sensitivity switch of +4 dBu/-10 dBV for professional and consumer equipment, respectively. The bass reflex port is located on the rear panel of the case.
