Description
Studio active subwoofer with a 12” diameter woofer, bass reflex and low-pass filters. The low range is from 22 Hz, the maximum RMS power is 200 W, and the peak sound pressure exceeds 115 dB. Balanced and unbalanced XLR and RCA inputs and outputs, automatic shutdown if inactive.
The ADAM Audio Sub12 is a powered subwoofer in a closed-box enclosure designed to extend the low-frequency range down to 22 Hz. It can be used in various studios, including home ones, or as part of a home stereo system. The subwoofer meets the requirements set by Dolby for cinemas.
The ADAM Audio Sub12 subwoofer is based on a specially designed 12” diameter low-frequency driver with a coated paper cone. All adjustment elements are located on the rear panel: phase switching, a switchable low-pass filter, stepless adjustment of input sensitivity from -60 to +6 dB and a stepless 85 Hz low-pass filter. The maximum output power of the built-in amplifier is 200 W RMS, and the maximum sound pressure is >= 115 dB at a distance of 1 meter.
The rear panel of the ADAM Audio Sub12 also features an automatic shutdown switch after 15 minutes of inactivity, which can be monitored via two LED indicators on the front panel. In addition, this subwoofer, like all ADAM Audio Sub-series subwoofers, offers balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs on XLR and RCA, respectively. Thanks to this, you can connect the device to almost any studio monitor systems to expand the range, or as an LFE channel in surround sound systems.
